Audio Story Components

 Forum 3: Audio Story Components

This is my pervious audio from "People on the street"

Experts: My experts would be someone in the science field, specially someone in the astronomy department. I feel that someone in the science department would be the only ones to answer this question, due to the fact it is a very factual question and it can not be conversational topic.

Transitional: This is my transitional song, I choose this song because it is very suspenseful which I like due to the fact it can build up the anticipation before we hear from the experts in the podcast.

Intro: I feel that this is a very good introduction into my podcast because it is a very happy upbeat song. I feel that the introduction song is one of the most important because it sets the whole tone of the podcast, so I want my podcast to be upbeat yet mystically since I am talking about space.

Background: This song will just be my overall background music if needed. I really like this sound because it is very clam with no loud bass beats in the sound. I tried to pick a sound like this, so it will not take away or distract the listener from what I am trying to say in my podcast.

Foley Sound: I had a really hard time trying to come up with what to do for my foley sound, I ended up using my hands to hit a desk. I used this sound to attempt to create a suspenseful sound.

People on the Street

Forum 2: People on the Street

Introduction:

I asked people a question in order to try to catch them off a guard. I asked three different people the question "Why do you think the moon is bright"? I thought this would be a good question to ask, due to the fact I did not know the answer myself and most people would not be considered "experts" on this topic. However, it seemed that most people were sure of the answer until I asked them. Then most people started to question themselves.

Editing:

When I edited my interviews together it was fun and more simple then I imagined. The things I focused on the most was the razor tool in order to edit out all the unnecessary content and in order to make it only 30 seconds. I also focused on making all the interviews sounds at the same level at about -12.
